JULIA'S REPORT ON TCHAIKOVSKY
Report Excerpt:
If I could ask Tchaikovsky any question, I would ask him, “What were the concert halls like when you were young?” He would probably answer, “The concert halls were very ornate.” The most famous concert hall was the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. It was a huge concert hall with ten tall columns. Over the pediment was a bronze statue of horses pulling a chariot carrying Apollo (mythical god of the arts). Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer because I danced to his music when I performed in the Nutcracker. His music lifts my spirits, especially when I am dancing.
